Fellows or Members approved for retired status are excused from the payment of annual dues. Retired Fellows also are waived from paying the basic annual meeting registration fee. If you are interested in changing your status, please contact us.

Retired Status Classifications

RETIRED MEMBER and RETIRED FELLOW are classes of membership for which Fellows or Members, respectively, may apply to the Board of Directors provided they meet one of the following classifications:

25 years of AAFS membership, at least 60 years old, retired from the full-time practice of forensic science; or
20 years of AAFS membership, at least 65 years old; or
15 years of AAFS membership, at least 75 years old; or
10 years of AAFS membership, at least 80 years old.
