Source: Katharine Pope, MA, Interdisciplinary Symposium Co-Chair

Presentation submissions for the AAFS 2025 Interdisciplinary Session are now being accepted!

The Program Committee welcomes all submissions of quality, relevance, and interest to the forensic science community, centering on the ideals behind this year's theme, "Technology and Its Impact on Forensic Science, Ethical Issues, and Challenges in Court," with regard to working with various practitioners among the sections. This theme focuses on content demonstrating how forensic scientists work together to provide trustworthy, objective technology that can be utilized and relied upon by all levels of government, law enforcement, and the public. We already have presenters discussing artificial intelligence, forensic investigative genetic genealogy, machine learning, forensic intelligence databases, digital evidence storage and security, and cyberwar. We are looking particularly for representation from the Engineering, Nursing, Odontology, Psychology, and Toxicology sections.
